When I first began posting art and calligraphy work on Instagram, it was still combined with my personal Instagram. I kept my account name the same as it always was and just began posting a bit more calligraphy work I was doing. The more calligraphy work I had coming in, I felt like I should have my Instagram name reflect my work. Thus the creation of Love, Grace happened and my Instagram account became @lovegrace_calligraphy. I continued posting personal things and calligraphy work but I began feeling like I should start separating ‘work’ and ‘life.’ I personally just found that if I followed someone for something specific like calligraphy, I wouldn’t want to see pictures of their nephew or their trip to the grocery store. I began stopping most personal posts on my calligraphy account and started up my personal Instagram account @lifewithlaurenb. I felt like I could post more about me and things that I love…fashion/style, travel, lifestyle, friends, and family.
Life With Lauren B is just a glimpse into my life through photos and short Instagram Story videos but it allows me to still express who I am and what I love. I ultimately love sharing outfit details and places we travel to (and sharing travel outfits is the best combo!). I workout daily and fitness is a huge part of my life, so there is always something regarding Tone It Up or running, or new workout clothes that I love.
While working on my site, I found that a blog could combine the best of both of my worlds! I could post about art and calligraphy while still being able to share places that I’ve been, finding great clothing deals, or travel recaps. I now feel like I love having the two separate accounts so that people know what to expect from each account but ultimately both accounts define who I am, which is why combining both worlds with one blog seemed to be the best fit! Hope you join in and the best of both of my worlds!
