I get asked a lot about the paint colors in our home and I finally put together a post of all the paint colors in our home for you to reference! Truth be told, finding the right paint color for your home is not a simple, quick task. So I also put some simple tips in finding paint colors for your home and what to do if you like the paint colors we have in our home!

Since our main living area is all open and flows into each space, we painted it all one color. That includes our entry way, kitchen, dining room, living room, and hallway.

This room is not fully finished so it has not been styled or anything yet! The wall color was the first step in figuring out other colors and DIY additions to this room which will hopefully come later this year.

Finding the Right Paint Color

I personally have a vision in my head of what I want the feel for a space to have and that includes the paint colors. I typically try to find the color I made up in my head by scouring paint sample cards or looking at digital swatches online. I am also human and see a room on Pinterest or Instagram and instantly fall in love the wall color and need to know what it is to test it out. The key to all of this is testing it out in your home. Off the top of my head, I can’t tell you what directions all the walls in our house face or how the sun light from certain directions effects the color but just know that is a major factor in how it will look in your home and how it will look different times a day….which could look nothing like the card swatch or photo you originally saw.

While I personally love the colors we have in our home, take it with a grain of salt. If you love them too and want them in your house, swatch and test them first!

Happy Painting!
